As the play’s run is just a month away, the Bocchi the Rock! stage play got its first live-action trailer, which gives fans an exciting sneak peek at the Kessoku Band members in action.
This new teaser was shared on the play’s official Twitter account and the Aniplex YouTube channel.
Thankfully, even if the stage play is only scheduled to run in Japan, the trailer is available worldwide.
In the short teaser, the live-action Kessoku Band cast is shown readying their instruments for the live performances on stage.
Bocchi the Rock! Live Stage Will Treat Fans to Live Music Performances
Even though it has been months since the first season of Bocchi the Rock! ended, the hype for the anime continues, thanks to a wide range of collaborations and events.
Aside from new collaborations with the likes of Family Mart and a karaoke chain in Japan, Bocchi fans were also treated to a live concert at Zepp Haneda a few months ago, which was made to celebrate the new single release.
For those who missed the concert, the recently revealed Bocchi the Rock! Live Stage play will be a massive treat as it is confirmed to feature live performances.
While many anime stage adaptations are turned into musicals, this upcoming play won’t suddenly make dialogue into musical numbers.
However, it was confirmed that the performances by the Kessoku Band in the anime will be performed live by the cast members.
This was further proven recently as the cast members shared on Twitter that they’re hard at work practicing with their instruments.

Bocchi the Rock! Stage Play Gets Live-Action Teaser Trailer
After sharing the first official visual for the play a few days ago, the Bocchi the Rock! stage play finally released a teaser trailer to give fans a better taste of what to expect.
It may only be a 30-second teaser, but it is our best look yet at the four main actresses in costume.
From the looks of it, their outfits accurately recreate the Kessoku Band members’ uniforms.

Bocchi the Rock! Live Stage will run in Tokyo at the THEATER MILANO-Za, with show dates between August 11 and 20, 2023.
For now, there’s no word yet on other show dates and venues. And as with most other anime stage adaptations, it’s likely that this will be a Japan-only production.
