What Will the Bocchi the Rock! Compilation Film Be About?
Since the upcoming 2024 project will be a compilation rather than an entirely new film, we expect it to cover most of the key moments of the existing Bocchi the Rock! anime.
The music anime is based on a manga written and illustrated by Aki Hamaji.
It follows Hitori "Bocchi" Gotoh, a high-school loner who starts learning how to play the guitar.
Hitori's dream is to join a band, but due to her shyness, she has trouble making friends at school.
This all changes when Nijika Ijichi, a drummer on the lookout for a new guitarist for her band, invites Bocchi to join her.
We expect the compilation film to follow Bocchi and the rest of the band in their wholesome musical journey.
Bocchi the Rock! Compilation Film Release Date News and Predictions
Bocchi the Rock!'s compilation film will be split into two parts. The first part is going to be released in Spring 2024, while Part 2 is coming out in Summer 2024. More specific dates have not been announced as of writing.

Does the Bocchi the Rock! Compilation Film Have a Trailer?
Sadly, the Bocchi the Rock! compilation film doesn't have a trailer yet. We expect a trailer for the film to come out in late 2023 or early 2024.
That being said, the upcoming trailer is unlikely to feature very much in terms of new content.
The Bocchi the Rock! 2024 film is going to reproduce and summarize the anime into a full-length movie, so its plot won't be entirely new.

Who Is Producing the Bocchi the Rock! Compilation Film?
Once again, the Bocchi the Rock! compilation film is brought to us by studio CloverWorks.
The anime was produced by Shouta Umehara (The Promised Neverland, My Dress-Up Darling, Wonder Egg Priority) and directed by Keiichirou Saitou (also the director of Frieren).
The main cast will remain the same:
- Yoshino Aoyama (Yoshino Nanase from Wake Up, Girls!) as Hitori Gotoh
- Sayumi Suzushiro (Kei Shirogane from Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Nijika Ijichi
- Saku Mizuno (Jusetsu Ryuu from Raven of the Inner Palace) as Ryo Yamada
- Ikumi Hasegawa (Lena from 86) as Ikuyo Kita
Are There Any News and Updates About the Bocchi the Rock! Films?
On the 6th of November 2023, the official X account of the music anime shared a poster for the Bocchi the Rock! compilation film.
It was also announced that the first film is titled Bocchi the Rock! Re: while the second part will be called Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:.
Both titles are inspired by the song Re:Re: by the popular Japanese band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, whose band members have also inspired the characters' surnames in the series.
