With the show’s return less than two weeks away, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is hyping up Part 2 by revealing the show’s second ending theme.

The show’s second ending was revealed via the official Bleach Twitter account. And for the new ending, the staff tapped the singer of Horimiya’s opening to perform the song.

As the series will run for 4 cours in total, it’s expected that Bleach: TYBW will have four opening and ending songs in total.

Back in May, it was revealed that the Japanese band w.o.d. will perform the second opening song titled STARS.

While this is the band’s first song for an anime, it was revealed that Bleach creator Tite Kubo is a big fan of the band.

Now though, it was announced that Japanese singer Yoh Kamiyama was tapped to perform the Bleach: TYBW Part 2 ending theme titled Endroll.

While the song itself has not been previewed yet, a comment from the artist was shared on the series’ official website.

Kamiyama mentioned that he is honored to be part of Bleach as the performer for TYBW’s second ending song. This is because Kamiyama is a big fan of the series dating back to his childhood.

The singer is best known for performing the opening song Iro Kousui for the Horimiya anime, though he won’t return for Horimiya: The Missing Pieces.

He also performed the opening song for the Drifting Dragons anime.

As previously mentioned, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will feature 52 episodes in total that will be split into four cours.

Though instead of releasing consecutively, there will be breaks between each part.

For instance, Bleach: TYBW Part 1 consisted of 13 episodes and aired during the Fall 2022 season. Part 2, which is subtitled The Sacrifice, will air in July.

Because of this, it’s expected that each cour will consist of 13 episodes and may have a break of two seasons each.

This is a major departure from the original Bleach anime which aired weekly with no breaks, though the new release format means Pierrot has more time to animate Bleach’s final arc.

Bleach: TYBW Part 2 will premiere on July 8, 2023. As with Part 1, the show’s second cour will be streamed on Hulu and Disney+ outside Japan.
