Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be dealing with the death of T'Challa after Marvel Studios decided not to recast Chadwick Boseman, and with the void of the Black Panther, Wakanda is on the search for their new protector.
See, the nation would badly need it especially with the looming threat of a war with the Talocan, led by Namor, one of the oldest characters from the Marvel comics. It would be a huge introduction of the anti-hero so check here who will be in the sequel.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Letitia Wright as Shuri
Letitia Wright comes back to play Shuri, the younger sister of T'Challa and the technological and science genius who made the suit of her brother before he died. While Wright has been in the center of controversy for her thoughts on vaccines, she'll surely be back in the sequel.
Rumored to be the next Black Panther, Shuri has her own gauntlets which fires sonic energy blasts, similar to the ones on the suit of the new Black Panther.

Remaining as the queen of Wakanda, Angela Bassett will be back as Queen Ramonda, and boy, is she on fire as she holds so much pain following the death of T'Challa. She already lost a husband, now, she would be overwhelmed with the threat that the Talocans bring to the nation.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia
The love interest of T'Challa is surely devastated on his death as well. Lupita Nyong'o reprises her role as Nakia who is also equally suitable to be the next Black Panther, however, it seems that she already found her own calling and formed a new team of warriors.

The commanding general of the Dora Milaje, Danari Gurira returns as Okoye and she will now be filling a bigger shoe to be one of the protectors of Wakanda in the absence of T'Challa. It is announced that Okoye will be having her very own spinoff series.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Tenoch Huerta as Namor
The Mexican actor, Tenoch Huerta, will be portraying one of the oldest and most iconic anti-heroes that Marvel has, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be his MCU debut.
Hailing from Talocan, Namor will be bringing havoc to Wakanda as a war looms between the two kingdoms. The sequel is also expected to delve into the grudges of Namor as to why he declared war and establish his connection to vibranuim, one of the strongest metals on Earth.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Winston Duke as M'Baku
The leader of the Jabari tribe, M'Baku will be coming back as Winston Duke reprises the role. What once was a tribe that was distant to Wakanda, the Jabari tribe is expected to add to the force of Wakanda especially following their participation in Endgame.
M'Baku is expected to take on a larger role in Wakanda following the absence of the new Black Panther in the wake of T'Challa's death, and he is one of those who survived the blip, possibly explaining his ascendance into power in Wakanda.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Martin Freeman as Everett Ross
Everett Ross, a known ally of Wakanda, will be coming back to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as they continue to forge the relationship of the nation with the whole world, especially with the dealings on vibranium. Ross will be played by Martin Freeman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/ Ironheart
Making her MCU debut before her very own series is Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart. She is a genius engineer who invented her own suit much like Tony Stark as she makes her own path to being a superhero.
Riri Williams would be having her own series, Ironheart, where she will be making suits like that of Iron Man, and she will be joined by Anthony Ramos who plays The Hood.

Making an appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ayo will be back in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a member of the Dora Milaje and this time, she would be having a romantic affair with another member, Aneka.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Michaela Coel as Aneka
Aneka will be a new addition to the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which will be played by Michaela Coel. She is queer, by the way, and she will be having a relationship with Ayo, something that is forbidden.
With this, it is possibly the very reason why a new team of protectors are arriving in Wakanda in the blue ensemble, possibly the Midnight Angels which is formed by Aneka, herself. She wields a blue blade that could cut through anything.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Character Guide: Other Characters Rumored to Appear
Of course, rumors should be taken as a grain of salt but there are speculations around Michael B. Jordan reprising his role as Killmonger who was "seemingly" killed in battle in the first Black Panther movie. His return, if ever, would surely be explained, right?
Also, there are rumors that Doctor Doom will be appearing on the post-credits scene of the movie but it is yet to be revealed who will be playing the iconic villain.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to be released in theaters on November 11, 2022.
