The trailers of the movies usually hint at things appearing in the film and it gives everyone a preview of what to expect but there's that line of Queen Ramonda that is bothersome, will Shuri die in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever given what her mother said?
Will Shuri Die in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be dealing with the death of T'Challa and Wakanda is left without a Black Panther to protect them other than their own warriors and the Dora Milaje as they face a new threat with the arrival of Namor and an impending war with the Talocan.
In the official teaser of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, there's a line that Queen Ramonda uttered which bothers many because it hints the death of Shuri as well, “I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world! And my entire family is gone! Have I not given everything?”
To recap, she lost her husband, T'Chaka, during an explosion in Captain America: Civil War, and following the death of Chadwick Boseman, given that Marvel decided not to recast the late actor, the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be dealing with the death of T'Challa as well.
With this line of Queen Ramonda, a lot are shocked as to why she would consider her whole family dead when she still has a daughter with her, Shuri. She would not just say that her whole family is gone if Shuri is still alive, right?

What Happened to Shuri in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
Well, Shuri died, temporarily. See, it is part of the process of being the Black Panther, dying for a moment to go to the ancestral plane to meet with some ancestors who could give some advice on being the next Black Panther.
However, for Shuri, it isn't T'Challa, nor Queen Ramonda, not even her father, King T'Chaka. It is the last person she had ever expected it to be: Killmonger. Still, it actually makes sense why Killmonger appeared before her -- their intentions being the Black Panther are similar: revenge.
Shuri was so consumed by her desire to retaliate on Namor because Queen Ramonda drowned because of him. Killmonger made her realize that they are quite similar because they weren't as noble as the other Black Panthers.
In fact, Shuri and Killmonger are the only two who weren't chosen to be Black Panther, but rather, they put it to themselves to become a Black Panther.
Still, in the end, Shuri remained on the good side, even managing to forge a relationship with the Talocan with a truce that Wakanda will protect them as long as they don't wage war to the people on the surface. War, after all, has no true victors.
