The incredibly powerful Wizard King is the final authority of a world where magic is everything and most of the people have magical powers.
Ten years ago, several Magic Knights joined forces to fight against Conrad Leto, who is hell-bent on destroying the Clover Kingdom and creating a new world.
However, Julius Novachrono and his comrades are against his evil plan.
Conrad uses all his powers to produce an indestructible sword and destroys almost all of his opponents.
But Julius still manages to seal him away with his magic in order to protect the Clover Kingdom.
However, Julius had to pay a small price for it as he won’t be able to access the powerful Imperial Sword that Conrad wielded.
Ten years later, the Clover Kingdom is preparing for the Triumph, a coveted magic battle.
The winner of this battle is destined to become the new Wizard King.
Yuno, the vice-captain of the Golden Dawn squad of the Magic Knights, arrives at the arena to face his opponent.
A masked warrior appears unannounced and challenges Yuno, who finds out that his opponent is none other than Asta.
Unfortunately, the battle is short-lived after the arena gets enveloped in darkness.
Conrad and his revived three Wizard Kings, namely Princia Funnybunny, Edward Avalache, and Jester Garandos, have broken the seal and arrived at the Clover Kingdom to create a more just world.
Julius, Asta, Yuno, Noelle, and the rest of the Magic Knights must come together and fight Conrad and the resurrected Wizard Kings or lose the Clover Kingdom.
