Due to several circumstances, BIGBANG has not released an album yet since the "Made" album in 2015. The group's promotions were significantly affected by the members' voluntary military enlistments, with TOP starting his two-year service in February 2017.

The other four members – G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri -- were enlisted between 2018 to 2019.

VIPs, the member of the group's fandom, never heard from them again after they released their single "Flower Road" in 2018.

Nearly three years after BIGBANG dominated the stage, will the group comeback finally happen this 2021?

Talks about the potential BIGBANG's return started when the group's leader, G-Dragon, appeared on the 13th Anniversary Special Edition of DAZED KOREA. The 33-year-old Korean rapper graced the 58 pages of the magazine, and he even hinted about their upcoming comeback.

The leader disclosed to the magazine that he had begun making new music for BIGBANG already. He reportedly started working on it soon after completing his military service in October 2019.

"Rather than notes, I'm focusing a lot on music and working on BIGBANG stuff these days, so I look for music keywords related to that and write lyrics. Since that's how I spend my time, most of my notes are related to that."
