Fans are about to witness the end of the Breaking Bad universe in the upcoming Better Call Saul Season 6 finale. Considering this will be the end of an era, Peter Gould, who writes and directs the show’s final episode and is the series’ co-creator, reveals what it’s like doing the franchise’s ending.
Better Call Saul Season 6 will end on Monday, August 15. After Gene (Bob Odenkirk) is on the run again following Marion’s (Carol Burnett) discovery that he’s the Albuquerque conman Saul Goodman, the end is about to come.
Peter Gould Discusses Better Call Saul Season 6 Finale
“It's a lot of pressure. It's very scary. A lot of sweaty palms. A lot of sleepless nights," about the show's finale at AMC's Television Critics Association presentation, via Comicbook.
"I mean, I think, 'Who are we going to please?' I think we know. I think those of us on the show are very happy with where it ended," he continued. "I hope everybody else agrees."
Though he remains mum about how the series will end, he teases they have accomplished what they want to do.

"I think the thing that I'm most proud of is, it's true itself," he added. "And we're playing in the same court that we started with and I think that's an accomplishment."
That said, will Better Call Saul Season 6 have a satisfying conclusion, considering it will also end the Breaking Bad universe? Gould hopes so.
"All we can do is hope," he stated.
Vince Gilligan Cryptically Teases Better Call Saul Season 6 Ending
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator and Episode 11 writer and director Vince Gillian cryptically teased the upcoming Better Call Saul Season 6 ending.
He said Gene's "world is crashing down around his ears," so he warned fans to prepare for the upcoming drama.

"I mean, it looks to me like Gene Takovic/Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill's world is crashing down around his ears. It's gonna be dramatic," he teased. "It's gonna be a big one. Buckle your seat belts."
Asked to describe the final episode with one word, he said it would be "Earned. Well-earned."
He also told fans, via TVLine, to "stock up on depends."
Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn Described Better Call Saul Season 6 Ending
Lastly, the series' lead stars, Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn, described the upcoming Better Call Saul Season 6 finale.
Seehorn called it "so thoughtful," adding it was also "so respectful of the intelligence level of our fans."
"I’m still thinking about the ending,” she teased.
Alternatively, Odenkirk summed up the finale in just three words: “Hard-won truth.”
