Jon Hamm will now be part of Apple TV+ after the network announced he would join The Morning Show Season 3. After expressing his interest in being part of the streaming service, his wish has been finally heard.

Hamm will join the leads Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, among others, in The Morning Show Season 3. So, what role is he going to play?

Jon Hamm Joins The Morning Show Season 3

According to Screen Rant, Hamm will play the role of Paul Marks. He’s a corporate titan who will pull the series’ leads into his own little world.

This role marks the first project the 51-year-old will have on Apple TV+.

Earlier this year, the actor expressed his interest in being part of the platform after appearing in a commercial and saying it seemed to have an endless collection of A-list talents except him.

“Everyone but Jon Hamm,” he said. The ad reportedly received an Emmy nomination of its own.

Fortunately, his addition to The Morning Show Season 3 will now include him on the network’s list of A-list stars.

The Morning Show Season 3 Production

Apple TV+ also announce the start of The Morning Show Season 3 production later this month, per TVLine.

Charlotte Stroud will be its new showrunner, replacing Kerry Ehrin.

In the previous season, fans saw the death of Mitch (Steve Carell) after being outed as a “habitual sexual abuser” in the first season. He was later fired from their morning show.

He spent most of the second season in Italy and was visited by his former co-anchor Alex (Aniston). He later died in a car accident before the COVID-19 lockdown started.

What Will Happen in The Morning Show Season 3?

After Mitch, Alex’s career is put in jeopardy after the end of the second season, thanks to Maggie’s (Marcia Gay Harden) tell-all book, which revealed her affair with Mitch.

While battling COVID-19, Alex reunited with Chip (Mark Duplass), who helped her go on air from her home to say her side of the story after being canceled due to the book’s revelation.

"Alex goes on a very important journey where she questions: Is she still relevant?” Mimi Leder, Season 2 finale director, told The Hollywood Reporter. “She was so fearful of Maggie's book, like it's really going to hurt her existence. She was a very fearful person at the start of the season and she really goes on a journey of self-discovery.”

At the end of the episode, Leder added they wanted it to “feel like a prayer than a pronouncement.”

“That it was Alex saying: 'This is what I hope for, this is what I wish for, this is what I want it to be,'” she continued.

So, can Alex redeem herself in The Morning Show Season 3?
