Sakura Haruka has been through a lot of adrenaline-pumping fights in Wind Breaker since his sudden move to Bofurin High. Whether he fights alone or with his gang, viewers are thrilled by the high-octane high school delinquent action that drives the series' plot.

From Sakura vs Togame to Hiragi vs Sako, here are the best fights in the Wind Breaker anime so far.

Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Wind Breaker manga series, so proceed with caution.

  1. Kyotaro Sugishita vs Arima Yukinari

According to Akihiko Nirei's notebook, which contains information about all of the fighters in Bofurin and Makochi as a whole, Kyotaro Sugishita may be the most dangerous student in their school, owing to his impulsive and untamed fighting style.

In the one-on-one confrontation with Shishitoren's Arima Yukinari, famed for being a power fighter capable of breaking someone's ribs in one punch, Kyotaro wasted no time knocking him down.

Arima attempted to distract Kyotaro by calling Hajime's name disrespectfully, but it was completely ineffective.

In return, Kyotaro punches Arima in the face, knocking him to the ground and rendering him unconscious.

Truly an impressive display of strength from Hajime's devoted admirer!

  2. Haruka Sakura vs Kyotaro Sugishita

Haruka's first day at Bofurin High was chaotic, and Akihiko Nirei was agitated, attempting to calm him down.

In a room full of renowned fighters like Suo Hayato, Nirei was concerned about Haruka's arrogant demeanor, which included telling anyone about his ambition to become Bofurin's top dog.

That's when the long-haired first-year student, Kyotaro Sugishita, emerges in front of Haruka, his eyes filled with hatred. He not only tackled Haruka, but he also intended to bury his face on the floor.

Haruka, on the other hand, dodges all of Kyotaro's attacks, which enrages him even more. As it turns out, he despises Haruka for wanting to oust Bofurin's current top dog, Hajime Umemiya.

  3. Haruka Sakura vs the Delinquent Gang

The first episode introduces Haruka Sakura, a high school student who dislikes seeing weak people pretending to be strong.

As he walks the street of Makochi, he stumbles upon a delinquent gang harassing a beautiful woman named Kotoha Tachibana.

While Haruka single-handedly dealt with the delinquents, they returned with vengeance in the last minutes of episode 1.

They have grown in number, and Haruka was once again left to defend Kotoha on his own.

Of course, Haruka managed to speed through some weak fighters, punching and kicking them one by one, but only until they started using knives and baseball bats.

Fortunately, Hiragi, Yanagida, Kaji, and Matsumoto arrive in time before they can harm Haruka, who refuses to leave Kotoha behind.

  4. Hayato Suo vs Minoru Kanuma

The fight between Hayato Suo and Minoru Kanuma differs from the other fights on the list.

Their fight is too one-sided; almost everyone thinks Hayato is too evil to humiliate Minoru in front of his gang before destroying him for good.

He not only played with Minoru's advances, but he also lectured him about adulthood and the responsibility that comes with it, all while doing some fluid, water-like moves and techniques that significantly lowered Minoru's spirits.

To be honest, confronting Hayato is too frightening, but we hope to see more of him in the future. Perhaps a fight with Sakura would do?

  5. Hiragi Toma vs Kota Sako

Finally, Hiragi Toma had the opportunity to show off his signature roundhouse kick not only to Haruka but also to Shishitoren members who fear his name.

As one of Bofurin’s generals, otherwise known as Heavenly Kings, Hiragi has immense strength, which makes him famous in town.

It's a good thing he rarely uses it against other people, but during his bout with Kota, he didn't hold back due to Haruka's words of encouragement and the desire to give his opponent a good fight.

  6. Haruka Sakura vs Togame Jo

The Haruka Sakura vs Togame Jo fight is unlike any previous shonen fight because of the conflict of ideologies, individual issues, display of weakness, and lack of a clear winner.

The manga series demonstrated the difference in their fighting methods, with Haruka described as a monkey because of his jumping ability and Togame like a wild pig, attacking his opponent head-on.

They exchanged numerous kicks and punches, making their fight more exciting than the others in the one-on-one brawl.

They did not hold back, especially Sakura, who despises Shishitoren's philosophy of strength the most.

  7. Hajime Umemiya vs Chouji Tomiyama

While the anime has yet to adapt the Hajime vs Chouji fight, it is expected to happen in future episodes of the series.

After all, the first season would not be complete without the clash between the captains, which would determine which gang would prevail.

Unlike the other fights on the list, Hajime Umemiya has a different strategy in mind.

He not only endured all of Chouji's attacks, but he also allowed him to talk about power, freedom, and happiness early in the fight to understand his point.

However, as the fight continued and Chouji's fists lost their effectiveness, Hajime began fighting back not only with punches and kicks but also with his words.

As he always said, their fists can be used to negotiate as well.
