Wind Breaker is finally here, and its first episode has already delighted fans with impressive action. Given his feats in the premiere, some viewers wonder how strong Haruka Sakura is in the Wind Breaker anime.
As the series is about delinquents fighting, it makes sense that Haruka is a strong hand-to-hand fighter. But more than his fighting abilities, Haruka seems to be more than just a hot-headed meathead.

Meet Haruka Sakura, Wind Breaker’s Delinquent Protagonist
The new Wind Breaker anime is a yanki anime from CloverWorks, the anime studio behind shows such as Bocchi the Rock! and Spy x Family (alongside Wit Studio).
You can think of the series as something like Tokyo Revengers or Bucchigiri?!.
This series stars Haruka Sakura, a delinquent who starts studying at Furin High School, which is infamous for its gang-like students. Despite seeming like menaces, the students at Furin are hailed as heroes in their town.
Haruka’s goal is not to become a hero. Instead, he just wants to become the strongest fighter there is.
His penchant for brawling is shown in the first episode, as he rushes in to defend Kotoha Tachibana against other delinquents.
Despite his rough demeanor and violent ways, Haruka seems to be quite a tsundere, as he constantly tries to be tough, even though he makes some kind gestures towards people.
How Strong Is Haruka Sakura in Wind Breaker?
He may be a tsundere, but Haruka is still a strong fighter. This is shown by the fact that he overpowered five delinquents who were harassing Kotoha Tachibana without breaking a sweat.
Soon after, Haruka encounters the guys he beat up, but they have lots of reinforcements. Even though he was up against over a dozen guys, Haruka still stood his ground, though he did suffer some damage to his ankles.
While he was about to be overpowered by sheer number, the students of Furin High School arrived to beat down the hoodlums.

Is Haruka Sakura the Strongest Character in Wind Breaker? Our Predictions
As the anime is still in its early stages, it’s not clear yet if Haruka Sakura is the strongest Wind Breaker character.
Given his abilities so far though, it’s likely that Haruka is one of the strongest fighters in the series, though it’ll be interesting to see how his strength matches up with the other students at Furin High School.
