The Avengers films always set the standard on the overall results of Marvel phases. In this case, Avengers: Endgame is on top of the game (for now) as it currently ranks second on the Top Highest Grossing Films with $2.79 Billion box office. That said, this is exactly what Kevin Feige hopes the upcoming films, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, will turn out to be.
Since last year, we have been receiving insider reports of leaked line of heroes to appear in the aforementioned films, with one of them seeing Raimi’s Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) teaming up with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and with the inevitable comeback of both actors, it is now even highly likely that the news deem to be true.
According to a new report, Marvel is currently in talks with actors — new ones and those who have already passed canonically in the previous films — joining Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. The report also states that Sony’s Spider-Men will be making their comeback once again, since their last in Spider-Man: No Way Home with Tom Holland. Check out the tweet below:
Previously, Avengers: Secret Wars plot had been rumored to be in line with Avengers: Endgame, much to Feige’s courtesy of wanting to repeat the iconic Doctor Strange scene before the final battle against Thanos. The film, however, will not feature time traveling, but will instead focus on returning to specific alternate universes (hence, the multiverse), which would explain the potential returns of classic Marvel heroes such as Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man / Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently slated for release on May 2, 2025, with Avengers: Secret Wars release schedule on May 1, 2026.
