Meghan started a new life in the U.K. after marrying Prince Harry in 2018. Thankfully, she had made a lot of new friends, and Amal reportedly helped her adjust in London.
The Start of an Important Friendship
Amal and her husband, George Clooney, attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding. But Princess Diana’s ex-roommate Carolyn Bartholomew learned the A-list couple didn’t know the royal pair.
"There's a story doing the rounds that while Carolyn Bartholomew, Diana’s former flatmate, was waiting for the wedding service to start, she turned to the couple alongside her and asked how they knew Harry or Meghan," Rachel Jonhson wrote on her article Sussex Fatigue, via Daily Mail. "'We don't,' the Clooneys answered brightly.
But after the royal marriage, an important friendship began.

The four started to have dinners together at the actor and the lawyer’s mansion on Lake Como, a.k.a. Villa Oleandra.
"We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we're friends with them for all the reasons that you're friends with anybody," George said, per The Things. "They're just really nice, fun, kind people, they're a very loving couple, and they're going to be great parents."
There are rumors that the Ticket to Paradise star is Prince Harry and Meghan’s firstborn Archie’s godfather.

"Everybody loves their rumors. It's not true," he told Extra but admitted they shared the same birthday of May 6.
"Cause I've already had to split [my birthday] with Orson Welles, Sigmund Freud, and now this [baby] comes in,” he continued. “I'm moving down the line very quickly.”
Amal Clooney Helped Meghan Markle Navigate New Life in London
An insider told People in 2018 that after Amal and Meghan had known each other in 2018, the former had been helping the former actress navigate her new life in London.
“It was a very natural friendship from day one,” the source said.
But aside from the two women, their husbands, Prince Harry and George, have also forged a good friendship.

Omid Scobie, who wrote Finding Freedom, told on Good Morning America, via Mirror, that the men had also started bonding over their hobbies.
“George and Harry have a shared passion for motorcycles and checked out George’s collection, and they also played basketball together.”
