Was Anne Heche Intoxicated During Her Recent Accident?
According to TMZ, Ellen DeGeneres’ ex-girlfriend first collided in the garage of an apartment complex on Friday morning. And while residents were trying to help her get out of her blue Mini Cooper, Anne Heche reportedly reversed her car and sped off.
But just minutes later, she crashed into a nearby home, and the collision ignited a massive fire that engulfed the property.
The publication shared photos of Heche being escorted to an ambulance while on a stretcher. And they revealed that the actress suffered severe burns from the fire.
TMZ is also speculating on the possibility that Heche could have been drinking while driving. After all, they noticed a bottle with a red cap inside the actress’s vehicle and said that it might have been a bottle of alcohol.

Anne Heche Rushed To The Hospital But Is On The Mend Following Her Accident
After the incident, the Los Angeles Fire Department released a statement to People saying that the accident caused structural compromise and heavy fire to a one-story home.
At the time that their statement was released, the Los Angeles Fire Department still didn’t know for sure if Heche was the woman behind the wheel. As such, they simply said that a female driver was taken to a nearby hospital and that she was in critical condition.
Hours later, it was also reported that Heche was intubated, but she’s expected to survive.
Anne Heche Claimed She Was Canceled By Hollywood Due To Her Relationship With Ellen DeGeneres
Meanwhile, Heche previously made headlines after she shared details about her previous relationship with DeGeneres. Last year, the actress claimed that she was canceled from Hollywood after executives learned that she was dating the comedian.
“I didn’t do a studio picture for 10 years. I was fired from a $10 million picture deal and did not see the light of day in a studio picture,” she told Page Six.
But while everyone refused to work with her, Heche revealed that Harrison Ford told her that he wanted her to star in Six Days, Seven Nights with him.
“He said, ‘Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn who you’re sleeping with. We have a romantic comedy to make. Let’s make it the best one that’s ever happened.’ That is why Harrison Ford is my hero. To stand behind me at such a time when the force of what I was standing up for could have been toppled,” she said.
