Alice in Borderland Season 2 Drops New Official Stills of Kings of Clubs, Heiya, and More

There are only three weeks left before the premiere of Alice in Borderland Season 2 and Netflix is hyping up the show's return with new stills. The six images put the focus on new characters including the King of Clubs and Akane Heiya.

The official Netflix Japan Twitter account dropped the new photos from Alice in Borderland Season 2 and the first two pictures shine the spotlight on the perpetually naked Ginji Kyuma aka the King of Clubs (Tomohisa Yamashita) and the mysterious archer Akane Heiya (Yuri Tsunematsu). Check them out below.

In the manga, Kyuma is the Citizen who runs the King of Clubs, the first game in the Second Stage. As his pictures have suggested, he is a nudist who goes around the Borderlands without any clothes.

Meanwhile, Akane Heiya is a survivor who survived one of the most treacherous games in the First Stage. However, it also cost her a leg which she has since replaced with a Flex-Foot Cheetah. It is still unclear if Netflix's version of Heiya will have an amputated leg.

In a separate tweet, Netflix Japan shared new images of four other characters who will take part in the games. The photos show Isomura Hayato as Sunato Banda, Kai Inowaki as Enji Matsushita, Katsuya Maiguma as Ouki Yaba, and Honami Sato as Kotoko Shiga. The four characters are connected to each other in their own ways in the manga.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 will bring back Kento Yamazaki as Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina, Dori Sakurada as Suguru Niragi, Sho Aoyagi as Aguni, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann, and Riisa Naka as Mira Kano. The brief teaser featuring the first season cast actually didn't feature Yutaro Watanabe who plays Koda Tatta in the series.

The second season of Alice in Borderland will return on Netflix on December 22, 2022.
