The Netflix series is based on the manga by Haro Aso and follows Arisu (Kento Yamazaki), a video-game obsessed man who ends up in an abandoned Tokyo where people are forced to participate in dangerous games determined by playing cards. Arisu teams up with Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) as they try to finish all challenges and return to their normal lives.

Alice in Borderland premiered on Netflix on December 10 and immediately became one of the streaming giant's most-watched shows. So it's no surprise that Netflix released a teaser for Season 2 right before Christmas.

Netflix has not yet announced the release date for the second season. However, there have been speculations that production could begin before the end of the year. With that in mind, there is a possibility that Season 2 could premiere sometime next year.

If the second season is faithful to the source, fans can expect to see the beginning of the Second Stage right away. The series concluded with Mira announcing that the survivors, which include Chisiya (Nijiro Murakami) and Kuina (Aya Asahina), will now take part in games to acquire face cards, which strongly suggests that we'll be seeing one of the most complex games almost immediately. The Second Stage kicks off with the King of Clubs game which is also known as the game of Osmosis. It is run by a man also known as the King of Clubs (real name: Ginji Kyuma), who happens to be a nudist.

We won't spoil everything right now but the first game is set to be a truly exciting one for fans. With that in mind, we're looking forward to Alice in Borderland Season 2.
