Alice in Borderland Season 2 Casts King of Clubs, Akane Heiya, and More

Alice in Borderland Season 2 is officially in production and it looks like we will be meeting some new faces later this year. The Netflix series has just added 6 new cast members including the King of Clubs, Ayane Heiya, and Sunato Banda!

Anime News Network confirms that the show has added Yuri Tsunematsu Akane Heiya, Hayato Isomura as Sunato Banda, and Tomohisa Yamashita as Ginji Kyuma aka the King of Clubs. They will be joined by Kai Inowaki as Enji Matsushita, Katsuya Maiguma as Oki Yaba, and Honami Sato as Kotoko Shiga. All characters take part in the Face Card games in the Second Stage except for Heiya. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD!

The new cast members pretty much confirm that Alice in Borderland Season 2 will immediately kick off with the Face Card games starting with the King of Clubs game. In addition to that, the rest of the cast members are set to take part in one of the more brutal games so far with no major casualties.

Interestingly, Tomohisa Yamashita revealed that he had actually filmed his scenes as Kyuma during "the hottest summer in my history." It's certainly notable considering that his character sports one of the more laidback looks in the manga.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 will bring back Kento Yamazaki as Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina, Dori Sakurada as Suguru Niragi, Sho Aoyagi as Aguni, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann, and Riisa Naka as Mira Kano. The brief teaser featuring the first season cast actually didn't feature Yutaro Watanabe who plays Koda Tatta in the series.

The second season of Alice in Borderland has not yet been given an official release date. However, the live-action series is already set to return on Netflix in December 2022.
