In case you missed it, it has been confirmed that Alice in Borderland Season 2 has finally finished filming. So what can we expect in the second season of the Netflix series? Dori Sakurada previously played Suguru Niragi in the first season of Alice in Borderland. Niragi was one of the residents of the Beach who proved to be antagonistic against Ryohei Arisu and Yuzuhu Usagi since they first arrived at the resort. Fans initially believed that Niragi was killed off after he was burned by Shuntaro Chisiya and defeated by Aguni Morizono but Sakurada has just confirmed his return.
"Niragi will be back," Sakurada wrote in his Instagram post. He also shared a photo of his character that appears to have been taken at The Beach.
Sakurada's return has already been spoiled by Netflix when it shared a video announcing the returning cast members. Seeing Sakurada in the video immediately had fans celebrating Niragi's unexpected comeback.
For manga readers, Niragi's survival is not a huge surprise. After all, the character would later take part in The Second Stage and somehow join the other survivors in the first game. We won't spoil everything but Arisu and Usagi should be even more careful in the series this December.
Alice in Borderland Season 2 will also bring back Kento Yamazaki as Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina, Sho Aoyagi as Aguni, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann, and Riisa Naka as Mira Kano. The series has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already set to return on Netflix in December 2022.
