Netflix has finally found its main cast for the highly anticipated Scooby-Doo live-action series after months of speculation and fan-casting for the Mystery Inc. gang.
For the last few years, a live-action series adaptation of the beloved animated series has been in the works, with Riverdale executive producer Greg Berlanti involved. Fans have been looking forward to seeing who they will cast to play the main quartet and follow in the footsteps of actors such as Matthew Lillard and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who starred in the 2002 live-action movie.
Who is Starring in Netflix's Scooby-Doo Series?
Netflix's Tudum recently announced the main cast for the live-action Scooby-Doo series, who will reimagine the beloved characters for the modern audience.
Mckenna Grace (Regretting You) as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen (The Pitt) as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson (Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret) as Velma Dinkley, and Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space) are confirmed to star in the series.
As for Scooby-Doo himself, he is expected to show up as either portrayed by a dog actor or a CGI character. However, it remains unknown whether Frank Welker, who usually voices him in the animated shows and movies, will reprise the role for this project.
Grace's involvement in the series has been rumored for the last few months, and this is the official confirmation from Netflix that she is indeed set to become the Daphne Blake of this generation.
During the Oscars red carpet interview, Grace discussed her excitement to take on the role of Daphne Blake in the Scooby-Doo series and the preparation that she has been doing.
"I love Daphne. I dressed up as her for two or three Halloweens. I’m obsessed with Daphne. She is my favourite character. I’m so beyond. I’m estatic. I’m just going to rewatch every Scooby-Doo movie and series ever now," she said.

The project is being executive produced by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg, as well as Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman (via Berlanti Productions), André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Adrienne Erickson (via Midnight Radio).
