Reacher star Alan Ritchson is openly campaigning to become the DCU's Batman as more fans are suggesting him for the role.
DC Studios is currently developing The Brave and the Bold which will serve as the first Batman movie in the DCU and introduce a new version of the Caped Crusader.
So far, no casting decision has been made yet for the iconic role, but Ritchson has emerged as one of the top choices from fans thanks to the popularity of his TV series Reacher.

Alan Ritchson Reveals Why He Wants to Play the DCU Batman
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Ritchson opened up about his interest in playing the DCU version of Batman and explained why he is pursuing the role.
"I'm getting this question, would I rather play Batman or Joker - Joaquin Phoenix crushed it, there's no following that. I would love to play Batman, there, I said it! Okay I'll shout it from the rooftops, 'I want to be Bruce Wayne!'" he said.
"Here's the thing about Batman - you know what his superpower is? Intelligence. The dude is the smartest superhero there is. He's inventive and he's got all the gadgets stuff, but he's super smart. I want to be that guy and also to have like a cave with hypercars, sports cars, and awesome motorcycles."
As most DC fans know, Ritchson already has a long-standing history with the DC brand since he played Aquaman in four episodes of Smallville and Hawk in three seasons of Titans.
Based on his physical appearance alone, Ritchson is certainly the ideal actor for the role and he has proven with Reacher that he is very capable of doing action sequences.
If Ritchson ends up playing the role, a lot of fans will certainly be happy. However, there is a strong possibility that James Gunn might end up casting an unexpected actor to play the iconic hero instead.
For now, fans should wait for any news and updates regarding the DCU Batman casting which will likely happen soon.
