Star Wars: The Acolyte will give fans their first proper look at the Jedi during the High Republic Era in live action. Though the events during this time remain mostly a mystery, viewers want to see several things play out in the new series.

The Acolyte will feature the Jedi near the end of High Republic as they investigate a string of Jedi killings in the galaxy.

From there, they’re about to uncover evil forces hiding in the shadows.

With its open-ended nature in Star Wars history, here are the five things we want to see in The Acolyte.

Sith Holocrons

The Acolyte will feature the emergence of the Dark Side, so it’s only reasonable that the show uses the ancient Sith Holocron.

A Holocron is an information-storage device used by both the Jedi and the Sith. They contain ancient lessons and valuable information delivered in holographic form.

The prequels have clarified that the Sith haven’t been seen in a thousand years. So, the Sith Lords at the time are probably lying low.

The Sith in The Acolyte could use Holocrons to learn from their ancient Dark Lords to fulfil their evil plans against the Jedi.

Expansion on Sith Lore

For so long, Star Wars has featured the story of the Jedi but not of the Sith. Fortunately, this will finally change in The Acolyte.

The series is expected to focus on an individual or a group of Sith, giving this interesting faction a chance to tell their tale.

How the Sith Order has infiltrated the Jedi remains a mystery but may finally be explored in The Acolyte.

Their lore will finally be expanded, and fans will see what they are up to when they’re believed to be extinct.

A Jedi-Sith War

The High Republic Era is known as a time of relative peace and the golden age of the Jedi Order.

However, the promotional stints for The Acolyte hint that it’s all about to change with the emergence of the Sith.

The Sith are set to be the show’s main villains, so it may further explore the Jedi’s longstanding battle against the dark side of the Force.

If this happens, it may feature the war between the Jedi and the Sith during the fall of the Old Republic, which sees the latter almost exterminated.

Long before The Acolyte takes place, the Jedi strongly believe that the Sith are extinct.

This wrong belief is portrayed in Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith, failing to notice General Palpatine’s rise to power.

Hence, the Disney+ series may explain why the Jedi wrongly believe that the threat of the Sith is gone and how they become unaware of their presence.

The Jedi Order Turning Isolated

The Jedi are known to be peacekeepers, but the Order eventually gets isolated.

The prequel movies show the Jedi being almost remote when engaging with the citizens.

This can even be noticed with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn’s interactions on Tatooine, holding the people at a distance.

Also, it remains a mystery how a wise older Jedi like Qui-Gonn is unaware that certain species can resist Force mind tricks.

So, considering The Acolyte is set in earlier times, it may explain how the Jedi turns isolated.

Which of these storylines may be explored in The Acolyte? Given the number of things that may happen in the series, fans may see several plotlines play out throughout this season.

Share your comments on what you see happening as we wait for The Acolyte’s two-episode premiere on Disney+ on June 4 to know more.
