Darren Mann suggests that Jack and Elizabeth may be the next Jacob and Cara in 1923 Season 2.
Mann mentioned his character's growth in a recent interview with Insider, noting that he and Elizabeth may end up looking like Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara (Helen Mirren) in the future of the Yellowstone prequel.
1923 Season 2 Will Explore More of Jack & Elizabeth's Love Story
From the difficulties of their wedding through the loss of loved ones, including their unborn child, Jack and Elizabeth remain close, heading toward 1923 Season 2.
"Maybe Jack and Elizabeth are going to become like the new Jacob and Cara... He and Elizabeth, they love the Yellowstone more than anybody," the actor shared. "He loves being a cowboy, he loves taking care of his family and you know, he doesn't want to let that go and he'll do anything he can to protect that."
Jack & Elizabeth's Challenges in 1923
When 1923 first aired, the prospective problems confronting Jack and Elizabeth were not obvious, as the couple's main worry was their marriage. As Jack joined the cattle drive in the first episode, it forced him to postpone their wedding. Following the attack by Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) and his men, Elizabeth chose to stay with the Duttons on their ranch despite being wounded, and Jack's father, John Dutton Sr. (James Badge Dale), was left to die.

As the Yellowstone prequel series continued, the couple recited their vows privately, and Elizabeth disclosed that she was pregnant, though she miscarried in the 1923 season 1 finale. Following that, they shared an emotional moment in which Jack consoled her as she admitted to feeling defeated. He revealed his feelings for Elizabeth and mentioned how much he admired Cara for caring for everyone despite not having children of her own.
There is no official release date for 1923 Season 2, but it's expected to arrive in late 2023 or early 2024.
