WandaVision Fires Spanish Dubber who Leaked Evan Peters' MCU Role

Most fans were not surprised when Evan Peters popped up in the latest episode of WandaVision. After all, the X-Men: Apocalypse star's appearance was already leaked by a Spanish voiceover actor. Unfortunately, that spoiler had consequences as Marvel Studios has fired the actor.

It was previously reported that voiceover actor Rodri Martin had accidentally leaked Peters' role in WandaVision. The actor, who also provided the Spanish voiceover for Quicksilver in the X-Men movies, announced on social media that he would be returning as the speedster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series.

Fans immediately found Martin's post which was quickly deleted. Unfortunately, the cat was now out of the bag and the dubber was no longer credited in the latest episode of WandaVision.

ComicBookMovie confirms that instead of Martin, Quicksilver's Spanish voiceover actor was revealed to be Manuel Gimeno. Gimeno had previously provided the Spanish dub for Matt Murdock on Daredevil.

So what happened to Martin? Fans believe he had been axed for confirming Peters' involvement in WandaVision. Additionally, there are speculations that the main reason why he was fired was that he had broken a confidentiality agreement.

Peters only appeared briefly in WandaVision Season 1 Episode 5 but his cameo was a big one. In the last few minutes of the episode, Wanda and Vision's argument is interrupted by someone arriving at their door. When Wanda opens it, she is shocked to see Pietro Maximoff although she doesn't recognize him at first.

The casting is truly odd considering that the MCU version of Quicksilver is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. This had led to speculations that "Pietro" is not who he claims to be.

WandaVision Season 1 Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney+.
