Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Production Start Confirmed, New Cast Members Revealed


It's finally happening. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has officially started production and the announcement video introduces the awesome new cast members who will be joining Captain Christopher Pike's crew.

The announcement video opens with Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romjin starting the trademark Star Trek opening lines. They are then joined by Melissa Navia, Celia Rose Gooding, Christina Chong, Babs Olusanmokun, and Jess Bush. Peck then confirms that production has officially started for Strange New Worlds.

The cast then admits that they are truly looking forward to working on the new Star Trek series. The actors who had previously worked on Star Trek: Discovery confessed they are thrilled to be returning and the new cast stated that they are happy to be joining the series. At one point, Gooding reveals that she has already been in the Enterprise and expressed her excitement about being on the ship.

For now, the roles of the new cast members have not yet been revealed. However, there is little doubt we will be learning more about them as they joined Captain Pike on awesome new adventures.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds takes place a decade before the events in Star Trek: The Original Series. In the show, Captain Pike (Mount) is still in control of the Enterprise along with Number One (Romjin) and Science Officer Spock (Peck).

Peck had previously teased on the production start in an Instagram post that confirmed he is in Canada. Filming is expected to continue until July this year.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
