Magic: The Gathering Arena Extends Traditional Cube Dates

Earlier this month, Magic: The Gathering Arena brought back the game's Traditional Cube Draft, and the event was originally only available until Dec. 20, but fans who enjoy this limited-time format will have more chance to play it as Wizards of the Coast has announced that they are extending the Traditional Cube dates.

The official MTG Arena Twitter announced: "Holidays are all about tradition, so due to player interest we'll also be extending the Traditional Cube dates. Traditional Cube on #MTGArena will now run till Dec. 27. Plus, the Traditional Tinkerer's Cube will last till Jan. 28. Happy Monday!"

The Traditional Cube Draft is available in both best-of-one and best-of-three formats, but will only follow the three matches (regardless of win/loss record) structure as other Traditional Drafts.

The Tinkerer's Cube Draft will be available from Jan. 15 to Jan. 28.

In addition to the extension of the Traditional Cube Draft, the MTG Arena developers also announced that they will be performing scheduled maintenance on Dec. 21 at approximately 3 p.m. PT (23:00 UTC) to deploy the 1.15.00.02 event hot fix. Maintenance is expected to last one hour.

I'm excited to hear that they're bringing back a fan-favorite format. Cube Draft is super fun because of the amount of powerful cards you can play compared to a regular Booster Draft.

Are you going to be playing Traditional Cube Drafts on MTG Arena during the holidays?
