This announcement is not a major surprise as there have been rumors in the past three months that Majors will be playing as Kang the Conqueror in the film. The Avengers films have seen Loki, Ultron, and Thanos as its villains. Kang the Conqueror is not a simple foe to trifle with. He is a villain that the Avengers have faced many times. He is a persistent and powerful enemy, which can be as powerful or even second to Thanos.

Kang is an intelligent enemy and travels through time. He successfully conquered in the future but knows that the planet is dying so he sets his sights on the past. Kang hopes to travel back in time and spread his empire throughout history.

His relentless efforts to conquer every era has brought conflict to the Marvel library. How will Kang be tied to Ant-Man 3? Kang uses time travel which will tie him to the Quantum Realm which was seen in Endgame as the key to travel back in time.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's release date is set in 2022.
