The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick Eternals is undoubtedly one of the most secretive projects from the franchise so far. After all, we're still not sure what will happen in the highly anticipated movie. However, it looks like Marvel has confirmed an interesting connection between Thanos and The Eternals in a cool marketing move.
According to The Direct, they had visited the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. in Toronto. The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an interactive exhibit that features MCU props and provides information about the films.
Interestingly, there is a brief description of Thanos in a special section of Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. and it confirms what Thor said about the Mad Titan.
"Thanos' origin is said to be on Saturn's largest moon, Titan, making him a Titanian in nature. It is rumored however that Thanos is the last of an ancient and highly sophisticated species known throughout the universe as ‘The Eternals'," the description reads.
Comic book readers already know about Thanos and are well-aware that he is actually related to Thena, who will be played by Angelina Jolie in Eternals. However, this is the first time that Marvel itself confirmed the connection between Thanos and the Eternals.
But does this mean Thanos will show up in Eternals? It's still unclear if Josh Brolin will reprise the role. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Eternals is currently scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
