Marvel Studios finally put an end to the months-long drought most MCU fans have been experiencing during the 2020 edition of Disney's Investor Day. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige pretty much confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's future slate is already solidified and there's a bunch of new promising content we can expect in the coming years.
One of the exciting news announced during the virtual spectacle was the confirmation that Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are set to return for Ant-Man 3 and it will indeed feature Kang the Conqueror as the main baddie. However, MCU diehards couldn't help but question the studio's choice of title for the sequel which is deemed a little too "goofy" by many.
The film, which will still be helmed by Peyton Reed is officially titled Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, and I gotta be honest with you, when I first heard about it, it did crack me up a little bit because it sounded way too silly. Unsurprisingly, a lot of fans felt the same way about it and they took to Twitter to poke fun at the title. Check out some of the hilarious reactions below:
All jokes aside, don't let the outlandish title fool you. With the word "quantum" in it, there's definitely no doubt that Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne will be going on a deeper exploration of the mystical dimension which pretty much helped the Earth's Mightiest Heroes even up the score against Thanos in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Of course, the billion-dollar film wasn't exactly able to focus its attention on the wonders of the Quantum Realm and there's clearly a lot more to be uncovered.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will hit cinemas in 2022.
