What If...? finale just aired on Disney, and it dropped a big reveal — The Watcher broke his oath. However, the ending was already spoiled weeks ago through Hyundai's commercial.

What If...? Finale Recap: The Watcher Broke His Oath

Uatu committed himself to never interfere with the events in the universe. Uatu, also dubbed the Watcher vowed only to observe, but he had a change of heart in the finale. Infinity Ultron became a threat because he wanted to use his power to remake the universe in his image and kill life forms he deems inferior and obsolete.

In a bid to defeat Infinity Ultron, The Watcher decided to break his oath and intervene by gathering a group of superheroes from the previous What If...? episodes. He ended up with a group similar to Avengers, and they were called "The Guardians of the Multiverse."

The foundation of the Guardians of the Multiverse was a huge moment in the show. It unites the superheroes from the different episodes in the series to fight against a stronger foe. It's like how the Avengers work together to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

What If…? Finale Spoiled By Thor In Hyundai Tucson Commercial

Hyundai and Disney Plus have been doing projects together, and it seems that Marvel projects are part of the deal. The What If…? ending was already leaked weeks ago, and most Marvel fans missed it.

The union of the superheroes in the What If...? finale was already shown in Hyundai Tucson's commercial, which was dropped in August, The Verge reported.

According to the outlet, the commercial spoiled the entire concept of the finale because the ad shows several What If...? superheroes, including Captain Carter, T'Challa, Star-Lord, Strange Supreme, and Thor uniting together to defeat an army of Ultron drones.

The clip also featured The Watcher watching over them. "If time and reality are a construct, what if we could rebuild it?" he says.

Although many missed it, some Marvel fans also knew that the commercial ad had something to do with the What...If? finale.

"Okay, a big spoiler, but can we talk about THORETTO?" one commented.

"This looks like a big spoiler," another added.

What If...? Season 2 has no official release date yet but will likely premiere in late summer 2022.
