The Spidey rumor mill won't stop spinning and it's crystal clear that a lot of webheads truly want to witness Tobey Maguire's triumphant return as Spider-Man in Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Homecoming 3. However, several reports have claimed that Maguire is playing hard to get which is ticking some people off at Marvel.

Maguire is reportedly displaying a diva-like attitude as he wants to get paid 15 million dollars to reprise his role for Spider-Man 3. Now, in an even more stunning turn of events, insider Daniel Richtman's new scoop (via Patreon) suggests that Tobey is now demanding the studios more money to appear on the said project. The exact amount wasn't disclosed.

According to long-running gossips, Maguire has this reputation of being hard to work with and fans have long assumed that is the reason why we have rarely seen him star in any Hollywood projects over the last couple of years. Of course, Richtman's claims have yet to be proven so take it with a grain of salt.

Whether it's true or not, Marvel and Sony really need to secure Tobey's contract for the project, that is of course if Spider-Man 3 actually calls for all Spider-Men to come together on the big screen. I'm keeping my faith though as Tom Holland already claims that the sequel is the most ambitious superhero film in history. Let's just see how everything plays out.

Spider-Man 3 is set for release in December.
