Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to bring in, or should I say, "reintroduce" Jared Leto's mega divisive Joker. A lot of DC fans have gone back and forth over Leto's controversial look in 2016's Suicide Squad and for the most part, the debate stems from the fact that David Ayer's iteration of the Clown Prince of Crime has tattoos on his face and gold grills on his teeth.

Last week, Snyder released a new image teasing what the Oscar-winning actor could look like in his upcoming cut of Justice League and it looks really scary. Now, the director (with the help of the good folks from Vanity Fair) has unveiled a clearer image of Leto's menacing new look as Mistah J.

The image which is still filtered in monochrome sees Joker in a room all by himself, presumably within the confines of Arkham Asylum. The first thing you'll notice is the disappearance of Leto's Joker tattoos which made him look a lot more terrifying. He also sports what appears to be a lab gown and this time around, Mistah J has longer hair. Check it out here:

I'm sure Zack was well-aware of the aesthetic issues the 2016 version of Joker had that's why he's putting in his best effort to make sure his version finally resembles what it's supposed to look like. It looks like Leto is on his way to redeem himself and I gotta say, so far, from what we've been seeing ahead of the film's release, I think we're on the right track.

Justice League's highly anticipated Snyder Cut will hit HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
