New Justice League Snyder Cut Clip Reveals Brutal Steppenwolf vs Amazons Scene

If you've seen the theatrical cut of Justice League, you were probably impressed with the fight scene between Steppenwolf and the Amazons. However, it looks like Zack Snyder's director's cut of the film features a bloodier and more brutal version of the same sequence.

In 2017's Justice League, the Mother Boxes are reactivated and Steppenwolf returns to Earth to retrieve them. One of the three Mother Boxes happens to be in Themyscira where the Amazons fought to keep it from the villain's hands.

The scene that appeared in the theatrical cut was already painful but Snyder has upped the violence for his director's cut, as shown in the clip below.

That's a lot of blood and gore for one of the first major scenes in the film. The release of the clip has also led to speculations that the Snyder Cut has similar sequences that led to the film being given an R-rating.

It's not exactly a huge surprise that the Snyder Cut will feature a lot of violence. After all, Snyder is known for films like the Dawn of the Dead remake, 300, and Sucker Punch. With that in mind, the blood and gore should be something to look forward to in the new Justice League.

Zack Snyder's Justice League was announced last year and is set to tell a completely different story from what happened in the 2017 theatrical cut. The Snyder Cut has also been confirmed to be four hours long.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max on March 18.
