Marvel fans, myself included, are thrilled about the fact that a third Ant-Man film is actually happening and while we still don't know a lot about the upcoming project, its title alone — Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania — pretty much suggests that our heroes will finally be exploring the wonders of the Quantum Realm, something that previous films somewhat failed to dive into. The upcoming project will hit cinemas sometime in 2023 but apparently, the stars of the film are already gearing up for their MCU return.
Evangeline Lilly has been teasing over the last couple of days that she's already training for her comeback as Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp. Now, in her latest social media post, the actress revealed that the script for Quantumania is finally in her possession and unsurprisingly, Lilly has already read the screenplay for the MCU sequel. She wrote: "Got my script. Read it. LOVE it. Can't wait."
Delivering the hype on Instagram, Lilly wrote a series of hashtags which included her co-stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michell Pfeiffer, and MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton who is set to play the adult version of Cassie Lang. Intriguingly, Lilly also included Cory Stoll who played Darren Cross in the original Ant-Man film, seemingly hinting that Yellow Jacket could be making his return.
Of course, there's no way that the inclusion of Stoll in Lilly's post was accidental. A lot of people are under the impression that Cross is already dead but it's worth mentioning that just like Scott, Darren could actually be trapped inside the Quantum Realm just waiting for the right opportunity to return to the world and of course, seek revenge on his archnemesis.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled for release on February 17, 2023.
