Black Panther: Andy Serkis Comments On Klaw/Joker Comparisons

Black Panther is coming out next week and anticipation for this film is at an all-time high. The film that will commemorate the 10th year of Marvel Studios has been getting plenty of great reviews, adding even more anticipation to the film. The cast has been praised, with good old Andy Serkis getting a good brunt of it for his portrayal of Ulysses Klaw.

However, that praise also comes with comparisons, as some people have compared his performance to Heath Ledger's outstanding one from The Dark Knight. Serkis has decided to set the record straight about the comparison.

During an interview with Comicbook.com, Serkis said that he didn't intend to channel the late great Ledger in his performance.

"I didn't think of Heath Ledger's Joker. No, I didn't think of it at all because you're in the world of creating your own character. Sometimes, previous actors, you can get inspired by them, but no."

Serkis has been described as one of the best parts of the film and one of the best villains in the MCU. Michael B. Jordan has also been praised as Hatemonger, so we could be getting two really good villains in this film. Considering the lack of good MCU villains, this is great news.

Black Panther shows next week on February 16.
