X-Men: Apocalypse is set in 1980s and 20th Century Fox wants us to get into the spirit of the decade a week into the film’s debut.
The studio has just released 5 album covers that are inspired by the music-centric era. Released via the Apocalypse Facebook page, each cover honors a different hit from the decade.
The main X-Men – Scott Summers/Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Hank McCoy/Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) – all get cool-looking album covers.
Although it seems Scott is the main highlight of the show with his Corey Hart riff on Sunglasses at Night with his own Optic Visor at Night, I personally like Quicksilver’s riif on A Flock Of Seagulls with his I Run cover.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
