Yumi’s Cells 2 Episode 8 Recap

Yumi’s Cells 2 Episode 8 sees a flashback of how Daeun developed romantic feelings towards Babi. As soon as the company took her as a student intern, Daeun already felt admiration for Babi and how he is so passionate about work.

Her feelings only deepened when she interacted with him, especially when Babi offered him a ride to the office. However, when Daeun was about to confess, she discovered that Babi had a girlfriend.

On the other hand, Yumi ensured that Daeun wasn’t the disruptor that would affect her relationship with Babi. Yumi asked Babi an important question that would relieve her anxiety, and it successfully calmed her.

It turns out that Babi first liked Yumi when he saw her dancing cutely in the main headquarters’ pantry. Babi also revealed that Yumi made his heart flatter so much that he wanted to take good care of her as much as he could.

After signing a contract with Julie Literature, Yumi knew that her life was at its turning point.

She met with the editor-in-chief and his assistant to discuss the details of her contract with the publishing company as the new writer. She was also assigned to submit an edited draft over the weekend.

Because of this, Yumi had to cancel her plans for the weekend so she could focus on editing her manuscript.

Yumi vented to Babi over a video call, and the latter was amused at how the new writer denied that she was pissed off over the editor-in-chief. And just as she was badmouthing him, a surprise delivery arrived, and it was donuts.

Babi obviously got jealous for a moment when Yumi said it was from the editor-in-chief, wishing her good luck with the writing.

Julie Literature’s editor-in-chief, Ahn Dae Yong, turns out to be a senior from Yumi’s college university who was in the business and entrepreneurship department.

Ahn Dae Yong had a crush on Yumi, but he was too shy to introduce himself to her, and it was a miracle that they met again as editor-in-chief and writer.

This fateful encounter allowed him to confess his long-time affection towards Yumi. But as he looks at Yumi’s social media account, he sees a photo of her with Babi. It implied that he had no chance with Yumi and that he should forget about his one-sided love for her.

When Babi admitted that he was jealous of Dae Yong’s treatment of Yumi, he also told her about Daeun leaving the company.

That morning, Babi was about to take the bus to get his car to the office. He coincidentally met Daeun at the bus stop and shared an unusual conversation before the young student left for Busan.

All of Babi’s cells panicked when an earthquake occurred in the village, and it was obviously because of Daeun’s indirect confession. Babi knows he should just ignore what Daeun told him, but when he returned from the office, he once again saw her at the bus stop with her parents seeing her off.

Babi suddenly felt an urge to follow Daeun’s bus, which was clearly an odd move from him as he had a girlfriend back in Seoul.
