South Korean actor Yeom Dong Heon, who appeared in several notable K-dramas like Beethoven Virus and The Yellow Sea, has died. He was 55.

Yeom Dong Heon’s Cause of Death
On December 3, the actor’s agency, Star Village Entertainment, confirmed the heartbreaking news about the actor’s passing.
As quoted by Yonhap News, the company revealed Yeom Dong Heon died on December 2 at 11:50 p.m.
"Actor Yeom Dong Heon passed away around 11:50 pm on the 2nd while battling illness. We will remember the late actor for the love and passion he showed toward acting. We pray for his safe journey to the afterlife,” it said.
His body is currently in room 2 of the Korea Cancer Center Hospital. A funeral will be held on December 4, 12:00 p.m.
The agency did not confirm Yeom Dong Heon’s cause of death, but it was revealed that he had recently started receiving treatment for his liver disease.
Yeom Dong Heon’s Legacy
Before rising to fame in the TV and film industry, the actor dominated theater first in 1994. He then marked his first film role in 2002 in the flick Surprise Party. He appeared in two more movies — Happy Erotic Christmas and Hi! Dharma 2: Showdown in Seoul — before landing a role in the 2009 TV series, The City Hall.
From there, he continuously joined more films and series, including Miss Ajumma, The Fugitive Joseon, Pinocchio, The Sound of Your Heart, Welcome to Waikiki 2, Chimera, Wonderful Nightmare, The Swindlers, The Soup, and Juror 8.
His latest drama series before his death is in the TVING series, Stockstruck.
