Woo Hye Rim Shock: Former Wonder Girls Member Surprised of Her Pregnancy Weight

Former Wonder Girls member Woo Hye Rim or Lim gave an update about her pregnancy after visiting the obstetrics and gynecology department with Kang Joo Eun. As she was about to have a check-up, she was surprised to see her new weight.

Just like other women, K-pop idols are no stranger to weight gain, especially when they’re pregnant. So when Woo Hye Rim stepped on the weighing scale, she seemed to see the most surprising thing in her life.

Woo Hye Rim Surprised of Her Weight

In an episode for KBS 2TV’s New Family Relations Certificate, Godfather, the 29-year-old star went with Kang Joo Eun to have a check-up, AllKpop noted.

When she arrived, she first weighed herself by climbing the scale. However, she seemed surprised when she saw the numbers—she was already 68kg.

"I was 48 kg (106 lbs) at the beginning of my pregnancy and now I weigh 68 kg (150 lbs) and have gained exactly 20 kg (44 lbs),” she said.

However, Kang Joo Eun tried her best to console Woo Hye Rim. "When I was pregnant, I went from 56 kg (123 lbs) to 75 kg (165 lbs) so I gained 19 kg as well,” she revealed.

The singer-songwriter announced her pregnancy on her YouTube channel in October 2021. “I’m still so dumbfounded myself, but everything is going as planned,” she said.

She also revealed she called her unborn child Sarang, which means “love” in English. Woo Hye Rim expects to give birth this month.

Woo Hye Rim’s Marriage, Relationship with Shin Min Cheol

Meanwhile, Woo Hye Rim tied the knot with Shin Min Chul, a taekwondo athlete, in July 2020, per SCMP. The actress publicly revealed she had been dating her now-husband for the past seven years before they married.

These two even made an appearance on the reality TV show Don’t Be Jealous and revealed how they met and what they felt when they made their relationship public. At the time, their lengthy romance made everyone envy.

However, Woo Hye Rim admitted it was not always fun and games. In fact, they decided to part ways before due to some personal issues and differences.

There were even times when he couldn’t accommodate her that resulted in naturally drifting apart. Despite that, though, they managed to patch things up and stay in love with each other. Now, they’re happily married and about to have a child.

For starters, Woo Hye Rim is not just a former Wonder Girls member. She is also a graduate of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies with a bachelor’s degree in English for International Conferences and Communication, Korea Joongang Daily cited. She and her husband are currently under the management of her former co-member Yubin’s rrr Entertainment.
