Wonder Woman 3: Patty Jenkins Drops Surprising Update on Gal Gadot Sequel

There is little doubt that Patty Jenkins is one of the busiest women in Hollywood right now and we just got an update on one of her biggest projects to date. The Wonder Woman 3 director has just confirmed that she is hard at work on the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe sequel. In addition to that, Jenkins shared some interesting details on an important scene in the Gal Gadot film.

Patty Jenkins was recently in attendance at the Matera Film Festival in Italy where she confirmed that she had always planned to do a Wonder Woman trilogy (via The Direct).

"And so, where I said that I was only going to do one, then oh my god, I have to do two. And then, I find myself saying, 'Oh my god, I'm antsy to do three,' And so, even now I say, that's because I always plan a three-movie arc," Jenkins said. The filmmaker then revealed she had been working on an important scene in the third film.

"There is a story that goes through these different movies as a whole. But even now, I just wrote last week the final scene of Wonder Woman 3 and I thought, I might be interested to see what happens next. So, you'll never know," Jenkins stated.

"They have asked us to think of ways to do more and it accidentally happens. But you'll never know. I have a lot of other films that I'm excited to do as well. And I love Gal Gadot so that makes it better, too," she concluded.

For now, details about Wonder Woman 3 have not yet been revealed. However, fans can rest assured that the sequel will bring back Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
