Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot Breaks Silence on Live-Action Snow White Casting


Gal Gadot has always been seen by fans as a symbol of inspiration and empowerment all thanks to her stellar performance as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe. But despite playing arguably the most iconic female superhero in all of pop culture, Gal is still an actress through and through. Stepping out of her comfort zone, the Israeli stunner has agreed to take on the role of the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action adaptation of Snow White.

As per Deadline, Gadot has always been the House of Mouse's choice to play the villain of the timeless fairytale. Other details about her casting weren't disclosed but it is said that the two parties have closed out a deal this week.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Red Notice star broke her silence and pretty much confirmed the casting news. Posting a screenshot of Deadline's report, Gal didn't say anything about her casting but it's safe to assume that she's excited to begin working on the project.

Now, considering Disney also owns properties like Star Wars and Marvel, would it be possible for the actress to actually jump ship to either franchise? Of course, Gal's allegiance will always be with the DCEU but now that she's set to enter the whimsical and wondrous world of Disney, a lot of potential doors will open for her.

Disney's live-action Snow White film doesn't have a release date yet. In other news, Gal Gadot will return as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 3.
