Wonder Woman 3: Gal Gadot Confirms WW84 Sequel Timeline

We already know that Wonder Woman 3 is happening but what do we truly know about the sequel? It looks like Gal Gadot has just revealed the timeline of the upcoming DC Extended Universe flick and it's taking a huge leap after the events in Wonder Woman 1984.

The first two Wonder Woman movies have taken place in the past. The first one took place in 1918 while Wonder Woman 1984 is set in the year indicated in the title. So what can we expect in the third film?

Gadot recently spoke to MTV News about Wonder Woman 3 and not surprisingly, she somehow confirmed that the movie will finally follow Diana Prince in a more modern time.

"I wouldn't go, like, to the '60s or to the '40s with Wonder Woman," Gadot said. "I feel like the past has been handled well, and now it's time to move on."

The Justice League star didn't necessarily state that we'll be seeing the present-day Diana but it would be the best way to continue with her story. After all, there are more pressing matters to deal with in the present and it would be great to see Wonder Woman working with the other superheroes again.

Wonder Woman 3 was previously confirmed to be in development and Gadot is expected to reunite with director Patty Jenkins for the sequel. So far, it has not yet been revealed whether the characters who appeared in the first two movies will show up again. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
