WINNER will soon come back with its four members, Song Mino assured.

Just like any other fandoms, WINNER’s Inner Circle has to let go of the K-pop idols temporarily as they serve the country’s military. Kim Jin Woo became the first member to leave the spotlight to start his mandatory on April 2, with Lee Seung Hoon following him on April 16.

Meanwhile, Song Mino and Seung Yoon are yet to join the two, but they expect to complete all their enlistments by 2022.

Once completed, the members would reportedly surprise their fans with a comeback, and the rapper asked for more patience before that day arrives.

Although the two members’ enlistment put a halt on WINNER’s schedules and projects, Song Mino continues his career as a solo rapper. He is also about to drop his third album, To INFINITY.

As part of the promotion of his highly-anticipated comeback, he held an online press conference where he talked about the album’s title track, his participation on Mnet’s Show Me The Money 10, and WINNER’s comeback.

Per the rapper, he had a busy year this 2021 as he successfully launched his solo concert and new album. After pursuing his solo career, he hinted that his group would be the next one to serve the fans.

“Next year, I hope 2022 will be 'To INFINITY.' More than anything, I am looking forward to WINNER's full comeback in 2022, so please look forward to it,” he said, as translated by AllKpop.

Song Mino also touched on the fact that it had been hard for him to balance everything to release and album and participate in Show Me The Money 10 at the same time. Still, he did it all since he had one goal for his fans – to impress them and make them ask for a new album or project.

Since their debut in 2014 after surviving the Mnet’s program WIN: Who Is Next, WINNER has always been referred to as Monster rookies since all members actively take roles from creating until choreographing their music.

In March 2019, the group became the fastest Korean act to score top place on Billboard World Album Chart. During the same year, they became the only group to have all their lead singles top Melon for five years straight.

So far, WINNER has a total of 82 nominations and won 17 of them. Among its notable awards include Golden Disc Awards’ Best New Artist Of The Year (Male Group), Melon Music Awards’ Top 10 Artists, MAMA’s Best New Artist, and QQ Music Awards’ Best New Force Group, to name a few.
