The upcoming anime is based on the popular manga series by Satoru Nii. It debuted on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket manga website in January 2021.
As of August 2023, the manga had released 13 volumes and gained a dedicated fanbase with over 1 million copies sold.

Fans of school-themed anime starring delinquent characters should check out Wind Breaker when it premieres later this year.
The anime centers around Haruka Sakura, a new transfer student at Furin High School.
The school is infamous for its students, tough individuals known for their strength and combat skills. They use their strength to defend their town from any threats.
However, Haruka isn't interested in doing heroic deeds or joining any factionsāhe simply wants to fight his way to the top!
Throughout his journey, he's bound to meet interesting characters that will either help him become the strongest or make his path more challenging.

Wind Breaker Anime Trailer
In late October 2023, the Wind Breaker anime released a teaser video that introduces the six main characters and highlights their respective VAs.
Then on March 5, a new trailer was released which features previews of the show's opening and ending themes. The trailer also features lots of new clips.
The show's opening theme is titled "Absolute Zero" by Natori while the ending song is by Young Kee titled "Invincibility."
These themes are the first anime songs for both Natori and Young Kee.
When Will the Wind Breaker Anime Be Released?
Following the latest trailer's release, the anime is confirmed to premiere with its first episode on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
For now, the show is only confirmed to air in Japan on MBS and TBS.

The Wind Breaker anime is being produced by CloverWorks, one of the most well-regarded anime studios right now.
CloverWorks is known for releasing some of the biggest anime hits in recent history such as My Dress-Up Darling, Horimiya, and Bocchi the Rock!
Spy x Family Season 2, one of Fall 23ās highlight shows, was also made by CloverWorks in collaboration with Wit Studio (of Ranking of Kings fame).
Considering the studio's impressive track record, it's pretty much a sure bet that the Wind Breaker anime will be another top-notch show for fans to get excited about.
Where to Watch the Wind Breaker Anime
There's no news yet regarding which international streaming platform will carry the Wind Breaker anime.
However, there's a good chance that Crunchyroll will pick it up for streaming in the US and other selected regions as part of its Spring 2024 lineup.
Crunchyroll is known for featuring hit anime, especially those from CloverWorks.
Keep in mind, though, that this is just speculation. We'll only know for sure where it will be available once an official announcement is made.
