One of the most anticipated Netflix shows has just returned for a fourth season and many already have a lot of questions to ask. Since Netflix divided You Season 4 into two parts, fans can't help but wonder if Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) will be in any of those parts.
Here's what we know so far.
Who Is Love Quinn in You?
We first met Love in You Season 2 when she was introduced as the new object of Joe Goldberg's (played by Penn Badgley) obsession. She turned out to be a passionate dessert chef who hails from a prominent family in Los Angeles. Later in the season, it is revealed that Love has a dark past quite similar to Joe's. As Joe prepares to kill Love, she gives the biggest twist of all: she's pregnant with his child.
In You Season 3, the couple is now married with a son and starting out in suburbia. Unfortunately, Joe starts to take an interest on their new neighbor, which ignites Love's jealousy and ends up killing her. Just as Joe prepares to leave her for Marienne (played by Tati Gabrielle), Love injects Joe with a vial that momentarily paralyzes him. But Joe was able to predict her move and turned the tables around. He injects the same poison into her with a lethal dose. And to be sure, he burns down the house with Love in it.
Will Love Be Back in You Season 4 Part 1?
Unfortunately for fans wanting to see Love return in You Season 4 Part 1, Victoria Pedretti is not included in the list of its cast.
In a 2021 interview with Newsweek, showrunner Sera Gamble turned down any hope that Love will be making a surprise appearance in the succeeding seasons. And this is because Love is really dead in the finale of Season 3.
If ever she returns, it would be in a flashback.
Will Love Be Back in You Season 4 Part 2?
Although Love was already confirmed to be dead, many still can't believe that she won't be coming back in future seasons of the show.
But then, a short teaser for You Season 4 Part 2 teases Love's return in one frame. This has, once again, ignited the hope of her fans who are hoping she will return to put an end to Joe's murderous ways.
We still don't know if Love's return in You Season 4 Part 2 is a flashback or a hallucination. But you can check out the official trailer of You Season 4 Part 2 here:
Is Love Really Dead in You Season 3?
Again, showrunner Sera Gamble has confirmed that Love's death in You Season 3 is definite.
“She is lying there [dead]. I’m not trying to be ‘was there a parachute under that seat in the airplane?’ She is [dead]. We’ve done that before with Candace but you know, there were questions you could ask about that. I feel like you literally watch every second of her [Love] dying, right on the screen.”
She also said that:
“I love that people will always have questions. That’s really satisfying to me as somebody who’s working with something and trying to surprise people.”
