Will there be The Killer’s Shopping List season 2?

The Killer’s Shopping List is a 2022 South Korean comedy-thriller based on the novel of the same name by Kang Ji Young. It explores the story of a murder case that happened on the outskirts of Seoul which led to more killings in the area.

A supermarket receipt then becomes the authorities’ sole evidence to find the culprit.

The Lee Kwang Soo and Seolhyun-led series recently ended its stint after chasing the murderer throughout its eight episodes. After the success of the K-drama, fans are now curious whether there will be a The Killer’s Shopping List season 2.

The Killer’s Shopping List Season 2: Is There an Update?

Unfortunately, the creators of the K-drama series did not leave a hint that there would be a follow-up story after the 8-episode drama.

For what it’s worth, the last few minutes of the final episode tell everyone’s happy endings. But in addition, the latter part of its last episode also saw the series saying goodbye to the viewers.

But for now, fans can read another webtoon series created by The Killer’s Shopping List writer, Kang Ji Young.

The author’s new story, which has the same name as the series, tells the story of Eunji, a woman who has been suffering from bad luck since her childhood. Another murder case happens when she tries to begin a new life in Ido New City.

The Killer’s Shopping List Ends With High Viewership Ratings

Although Season 2 is yet to be confirmed, the comedy thriller series scored a new record through its last episode.

On Thursday, it garnered the highest viewership ratings of its entire run by having 3.7 percent. Nielsen Korea reveals that it ranked second among the dramas in the same time slot.

Meanwhile, JTBC’s Green Mothers Club also achieved its highest ratings so far by savoring 4.6 percent for its latest episode.

Lastly, Love All Play remains quiet with a 1.1 percent average nationwide rating.
