To date, there is still no confirmation whether there would be The Midnight Club Season 2 or any news about its renewal status. Given that it released this month, it will all boil down to Netflix whether they would renew the show for another run.

Here's the possibility: it's 50-50. The half chance would be that it would follow the same path taken by the other shows of Mike Flanagan which each did not have a Season 2 and every series takes a different story, not a continuation of the other.

However, this is where The Midnight Club is different from the rest, the other half chance -- it ended with so many questions left unanswered like who is Dr. Georgina Stanton, really, who are the old man and woman haunting Ilonka and Kevin, and what happened to Julia Jayne after her failed ritual?

Also, there are also some characters that have so many more stories to tell like Cheri who didn't really share much to the group, and the brooding love story of Natsuki and Amesh especially with the illness of Amesh catching up on him, that of Spencer, too.

In a press event that Mike Flanagan attended, as reported by TV Line, he shared that only Netflix could answer whether there would ne The Midnight Club Season 2, “We probably won’t know for another month or so what Netflix wants to do, but this was very much designed to continue.”

Flanagan added that if there would be another season, the questions may be answered, “Pike has 80 books, so we have a lot of incredible material to pull from. We didn’t answer some of the bigger questions of the season. Those answers exist, but were meant to be for the next season."

Flanagan personally didn't want to have any questions left unanswered so he proposed a different way to address those, "If there isn’t one, I’ll put them up on Twitter, and then at least we’ll all be able to talk about it.”

Still, everyone who watched the series are hoping that there would be The Midnight Club Season 2 because what better way to answer the questions than have it on screen, right?

The Midnight Club is now streaming on Netflix.
