Who Were We Running From? is a show based on a 2007 novel written by Perihan Magden. The book's original title, however, was Who Were We Running From, Mother?
The series was written by Ertan Kurtulan. Meanwhile, the director's chair was given to Umut Aral and Gokcen Usta.
The official logline on Netflix reads:
"A mother and her young daughter Bambi are on the run, away from someone, staying in luxury hotels, keeping on the move, leaving a trail of bodies behind...
"But as the luxury hotels get replaced with seedy motels, it becomes clear that the fairytale isn't all that her mother promised Bambi it was going to be. Can they be the hunter, not the prey?"
Just like the title suggests, the story is about a mother and daughter who seems to be trying to escape someone. From the first episode, the duo is seen hotel hopping to keep themselves safe.

Who Were We Running From? may not be as gigantic as other shows on Netflix right now (like The Night Agent or Florida Man. Still, the show has gained a loyal fanbase and continues to gain new fans every day.
