Back in September, Netflix released a new show called The Imperfects, a coming-of-age series that has the potential of becoming as big as The Umbrella Academy. Of course, this will depend whether or not the streaming giant decides to renew the show for a second season.

As of November 8, 2022, Netflix announced that they have cancelled The Imperfects. Another show that got cancelled along with the announcement is the K-drama series, Partner Track.
This means that the show will not be returning for a second season.
Usually, Netflix follows a number of factors to decide whether they would renew a show or not. For The Imperfects, Netflix considered the number of viewers who actually finished the series. As for the reviews, the viewers left behind mixed reactions after the first season so this was something Netflix could not factor in.
What Was The Imperfects About?
The show, created by Shelley Eriksen and Dennis Heaton, follows three young adults who were part of an experimental gene therapy. The side effect of the experiment gives them monstrous abilities. In the show, the trio look for the scientist behind the experiment to help them look for a cure.
