One Piece Live-Action Series Reveals Adorable Young Luffy Actor


Young Luffy is joining Netflix's One Piece series! The highly anticipated show has just confirmed that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Colton Osorio will play the younger version of Monkey D. Luffy!

The official Netflix One Piece series Twitter account has confirmed the news by sharing an image of Colton Osorio to announce the casting. Although it is unclear how many episodes young Luffy will have in the show, there is a huge possibility that Osorio will be in the first episode which has been titled Romance Dawn.

Not surprisingly, the cast of One Piece is celebrating the casting. Iñaki Godoy, who will portray the older version of Luffy, shared several Instagram stories featuring his young co-star. It's clear that Osorio has been welcomed well into the cast and we can't wait to see him in action soon.

Colton Osorio's casting comes only a few days after Red-Haired Shanks was spotted on the set of the live-action One Piece series. The pirate, who serves as Luffy's mentor in both the manga and anime, will be played by Yellowjackets actor Peter Gadiot. We're already looking forward to seeing Shanks and young Luffy together really soon.

The One Piece series will also star Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji as the main Straw Hats crew. The series will also feature Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Vincent Regan as Garp, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Steven Ward as Mihawk Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya, and Chioma Umeala as Nojiko.

Netflix's One Piece series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
