Great news for Manifest fans as the show has been renewed for a fourth season on the exact day it is expected by many fans to get another green light. On 828-day, August 28, 2021, at exactly 8:28, the news dropped and everyone following the series rejoiced as #SafeManifest worked!
Manifest surely has an amazing story to tell and because of it, the series continues running with Season 3. But just as it is about to end with a two-part finale, a lot have been asking whether there would be a Season 4 of the series considering it has been bought as a six-season series by NBC when it started.
Everyone on the manifest, 191 passengers aboard Montego Air Flight 828 from Jamaica en route to New York City mysteriously disappeared in thin air without a trace for five and a half years. As for the passengers, all those five years were like seconds to those 191 aboard who just experienced a severe turbulence. Trying to put behind all those years they seemingly lost while on the trip of their lifetime, they realize that things are not the same as they were and they started to experience "callings."
Will There Be a Season 4 of Manifest?
In a recent report from Deadline, the chairman of Warner Bros. Television Group, Channing Dungey said that they are currently having conversations as regards the fourth season with Susan Rovner, the one who sold Manifest to NBC and currently calls the shots for the show. Dungey added, "We would love for the show to continue on NBC."
Originally, Manifest was sold to NBC as a six-season series which have everything mapped out until the end. That in itself gives three more seasons to run, but everything will be dependent on whether the series would be renewed, or cancelled by NBC. Currently, Season 3 has 13 episodes. Looking from the tone of Dungey, it seems that there is a high chance for the renewal of the show. It is also one of the highest-rated shows in terms of viewers which makes it highly possible for another season.
An NBC series with episodes going as long as 43-minutes apiece, Manifest could be found in its home network, on the NBC app and NBC.com, on the livestream through DirecTV, FuboTV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV, and on Hulu for those who has a subscription with an NBC pack.
Manifest arrives every Thursday at 7PM CT/ 8PM ET on NBC and its Season 3 finale will be on June 10, 2021.
